These pretty pastel hanging Easter decorations are made with feathers and colourful glass beads. Add them to a garland or hang from a spring twigs!
There is something hopeful and joyful about spring and Easter and this is reflected in the decorations I put in my home. I love bringing branches and flower into my home and adding feathers, beads and other colourful details. You can see even more of my Easter and Spring projects for you and your home here!
You will need:
-50cm of coloured thread like s-lon; it needs to pass twice through your beads
-Feathers
-Selection of beads, I’m using Czech Glass Mixes and Size 5 seed beads
-Fold over/Envelope ends
-Jump ring
-Chain nose pliers
How to make Hanging Easter Decorations:
1.Fold your 50cm length of thread in half and tie an overhand knot approx 2cm/1 inch from the fold. This creates a loop we can use to hang our decoration!
2.Thread on your beads to BOTH threads (think of them as one thread!)
3.Secure the threads in a fold over end, right up against the bottom bead. Then trim off any excess threads. And yes, this is what the hands of a Jewellery Maker and Crafter really looks like 🙂
4.Fit a fold over end to the feather, trimming off any excess if needed.
5.Join the two fold over ends together with a jump ring to finish
You can make a whole bunch of them!
They look great hung on a fresh branch. Just make sure your foliage is free of greenfly before bringing it inside…I didn’t. Schoolgirl error. Seriously, I have only just got rid of them!

I wish you, & other crafters would use inches as I have to look up how much a cm is before I can make what you have on your site
