Turn a semi-precious stone or crystal into a wearable necklace with this macrame stone necklace pattern.

You will be guided, step by step to creating a pouch around a stone or crystal using simple macrame knots. The finished pendant can be turned into a finished necklace by threading some cord or a ready-made necklace you have through the loop.  Each stage and knot is described using written instructions, clear colour photographs. Ideal for turning a beautiful stone or crystal without any drill holes into a wearable piece of jewellery.

It is designed for beginners, but can get tricky if using small stones! (see recommended materials below)

To create your macrame stone necklace you will need the following materials:

• 4 metres of thin cord such as S-lon, C-lon, crochet cotton or embroidery thread.
• A stone or crystal; I suggest one approx 4cm by 2.5cm
• Needle
• Washi or masking tape
• Cord or a ready made necklace chain to hang your pendant from.

The finished rainbow will measure approx 12cm or 5 inches across.
