Recent events in Paris have been devastating. The city is known the world over as one of love, so for something so terrible to occur is pretty incomprehensible. I visited Paris on a trip with Art College in 2001 I think it was. We did the typical tourist traps of the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysees, but also galleries; The Musee Picasso, Palais de Tokyo and the Pompdieu Centre. Sometimes we hear so much about the negative side of the internet, that we forget about the positives. One of the wonders of living in the 21st century is the freedom and accessibility of information. Say what you want about social media, but stumbling across a fantastic set of photographs or an amazing YouTube video is one of the reasons I keep coming back. Its easy to miss a retweet or Facebook share, so I’ve decided to start an occasional roundup post of interesting, beautiful and lovely things I have come across recently.
