About Me
My names Emma, and I love making things! When I was little, my Mum always said I would grow up to be either a zookeeper or a Blue Peter presenter (Blue Peter is a kids magazine programme that features a lot of making stuff out of cereal packets and sticky back plastic!).
So it wasn’t a great surprise when I decided to study Fine Art at college, then university. After completing my degree, I felt the need to get a ‘proper’ job and worked in the media as a picture researcher for a few years. But I wasn’t happy, I knew I was meant to be doing something more creative, so I started making my own jewellery and selling at local craft fairs. I taught a few workshops and discovered that my real love was helping other people find their creativity.
I live in Nottingham, UK with my fluffy cat, Aston and can usually be found drinking tea and eating cake.

Hi Rebecca, they are size 3 seed beads. They aren’t that common a size, but you can get them at The Bead Shop Nottingham ( http://www.mailorder-beads.co.uk) !
Hi Emma
I am trying to make tge wave macrame braceket for a frirnds birthdsy but i am getting stuck on the second square knot as the holding cord and moving cord are in the wrong place at tge end of the 1st / 3rd knot and trying to put them in the right place leaves an unsightly twist in the pattern..I have the instructions but they are not helping. Thanks Helen
Hi Helen! Sounds like a couple of things could be happening – the holding cords might be getting tangled or bunched up in the working cords. To try and prevent this use some tape or weight to hold down the ends of the holding cords to your work surface. It also might be that if the knot is twisting, you are repeating bringing the sale cord over each time. With the square knot you are alternating which which working cord is brought across to start.
